Education is a political act. No pedagogy is neutral.

Curricula

  • Lesson Plan for Middle-High Schoolers

    and Workshop for adults

Objective: Questioning the spaces we occupy in terms of privilege and marginalization through a holistic understanding of identity.

I offer Intersectionality as a tool for social justice while being in any type of collaborative work: for example philosophical discussions.

Questions that can be derived from this tool:

Who is occupying the most space in this discussion?

Why do I speak less/more in this space?

How can I make sure the space I am in is inclusive?

  • Workshop for Educators (in Spanish)

    Anti-racist, anti-ableist, anti-patriarchal, anti-homophobic, anti-transphobic, anti-xenophobic-- in short, intersectional pedagogy geared for youth liberation.

**During this activity we will share parts of our identity that could be hard/not safe to talk about, like your gender identity and/or sexuality. No one will be forced to share anything that does not allow them to feel safe. To ensure brave (or safe) spaces for this workshop, we will collectively make agreements and put necessary boundaries when it comes to sharing parts of our identity.

We all will be committed to keeping each other safe and using language that best affirms our experiences and identities.

  • Curriculum for Individual Mentoring

Grade Level: Middle to High School

Objective: Making reading accessible for young people who were imposed literacy curricula. Reading books was never meant to oppress growing minds, however, the current U.S. education system has now used reading as a measure for literacy success.

I offer a holistic curriculum that focuses on problem-solving tools to practice reading as an explorative and leisurely activity.

    It includes student-centered activities to

    pick books

    generate questions

    interpret text

  • Lesson Plan for Youth (9-14 y.o.)

In this class, students will gain confidence in programming and electronics with guided lessons and open experimentation. Here we will connect our artistic side with our scientific minds by creating a robot artist! With guidance, participants will wield the Arduino Uno Starter Kit to grasp electronics basics, then delve into coding fundamentals. Through hands-on projects, participants will command LEDs, buzzers, motors, and more, transforming their creative visions into robotic reality.

    What Students will Learn:

🔌 Fundamental Electronics: Current, Voltage, Circuits, Digital Logic

💻 Entry-Level Coding: From Basics to Algorithmic Brilliance

🔧 Workshop Safety: Navigate with Confidence

🎨 Melding Art and Science: Bring Your Robot Artist to Life

💡 Hands-On Mini Projects: LEDs, LCD Module Displays, Buzzers, Motors

  • Curricula for Middle and High Schoolers

  • Curriculum for Pre-K to Elementary Students

  • Workshop for public servers and educators

As a community educator, I strive to make education as accessible as possible. Everything I share I have learned from my students and colleagues. We share this knowledge. At the same time, I want to prevent this knowledge to be stolen with out giving credit to the community it came from. Email me for complete access.
